CUTWOODCO was founded in 2020 by Daniel Cutler.Born in Australia and raised in Southern California, Daniel is an avid surfer with an appreciation for nature; his respect for the ocean shaped a lifelong passion for the environment and sustainability. His artistic instincts led him to art school in San Francisco, where he studied painting and film while honing his skills in design and interest in hands-on craftsmanship.Driven by a desire to reconnect with nature, Daniel returned to his roots in Australia to work with Green Corps, focusing on the rehabilitation of ancient wetland ecosystems and protection of endangered species. This experience deepened his commitment to environmental stewardship.To merge his creative instincts, love of nature, and dedication to sustainability, Daniel founded CUTWOODCO—as an answer to many of his concerns for the environment and the waste he saw both in the building and film industries, company that emphasizes eco-conscious materials, sustainable practices, innovative design, and meaningful collaboration with clients and partners who share his values.Daniel is committed to changing the status quo by bringing back a "slower" more thoughtful approach to drive the future of development as well as design without sacrificing quality, efficiency or budgetary requirements.
